  • It takes care of everything required to run your real-time applications continuously and scales automatically.

  • Kinesis Data Analytics encrypts all data both in transit and at rest.

  • Encryption in transit is enabled for all Kinesis Data Analytics applications and cannot be disabled and your application's code and reference data are encrypted at rest.

  • You can also encrypt data on the incoming Kinesis data stream using StartStreamEncryption.

  • All data in transit is NOT automatically encrypted by default in Kinesis Data Firehose.

  • Athena uses TLS encryption for data-in-transit between Athena and S3, and between Athena and customer applications accessing it, but this is not true for Kinesis Data Firehose.
